APMM’s Professional Development Committee has created an exciting agenda focusing on an important and timely topic: Bridging Generational Gaps in Organizational Settings. In today’s diverse workforce, multiple generations often coexist, each bringing unique perspectives, values, and communication styles. This training will help you create dynamic leaders and provide you with a fresh perspective that different generations bring to your organization.
Session topics include: Public Service Motivation and HR Practices Across Generations, presented by Villanova MPA Professor, Dr. Lauren Miltenberger, and Alicia Rainwater, LCSW, from The Center for Generational Kinetics, addressing each generation’s potential as team members and consumers, and bring statistically accurate data to leaders to make informed decision that drive measurable results. A session you do not want to miss includes a panel of municipal managers leading a discussion of Generations at Work: Managing Teams, Expectations, and Outcomes, exploring how generational differences influence workplace dynamics.

Reservations may also be made by calling the Omni at 1-800-THE-OMNI referring to the APMM Executive Development Conference room block. The room rate is $229 + 8% taxes + a $29 resort fee. Check-in is 4:00 p.m. and check-out is 11:00 a.m. The reservation cut-off date for the group rate is Monday, January 13, 2025.
The resort fee includes: bottled water, morning newspaper, local telephone calls, high-speed wireless Internet access in guest rooms & public areas; in-room coffee, valet parking, room safe, use of the fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis court, hiking trails, and afternoon tea.
